I heard that this was the most successful WAEC. Oboi e no reach my side oh. The ever benevolent WAEC don dash me 3 credits this year. Shai, I have cause to thank God. Last year, it was only one.
But I have something to say. Please don't look at me as one who gives flickering excuses for failure.
I do not have to pick up mama's tray of groundnuts and hawk them before and after school.
Maybe maybe...
I do not have to move around the nook and cranny of Yenagoa looking for 'ogwoja' work to do that will fend me my Saturday bread.
Maybe maybe...
I do not have to forfeit Baba God's blessings on Sundays to till Papa's farm.
Maybe maybe...
I do not have to hear the tales of this cracked nation's economy from Mallam Ali's radio every freaking evening.
Maybe maybe...
I do not have to sleep hungry and wake up famished cause food for people like us is meant to be eaten once each day.
Maybe maybe...
I do not have to get excess of the sun's vitamin D after treking miles to school and trek back home after being driven from school for tuition fees that increase with light speed.
Maybe maybe...
I do not have to worry about how the fluctuating Naira that seems to debunk the law of gravity, would affect my family's survival.
Maybe maybe...
WAEC maybe...
I would have more As, Bs and Cs to brag about than Es, and Fs.
WAEC maybe...
You won't have to wire me.
