DEAD END

I took my brown coat from my dusty cushion. I had not cleaned up since my wife and kids passed away. I headed for the door but then it dawned on me that I had forgotten to brush. I put my hands on my mouth, covering the openings of my nose alongside and breathed on it "it doesn't smell so bad". I walked up to my rickety cupboard and opened it, it creaked open. I drew out an old coffee jar and took some mint from it "this would do".
I walked up to the garage, took my red Toyota car and headed for the road. I didn't even know where I was going. Maybe I just wanted to get away from everything. It had been two weeks since my wife and two daughters passed away in a fatal car accident. I have not been myself since then. "Maybe it was time to forget it all and face reality"
I yawned loudly as I got up from my bed. I was still having those "comical nightmares". "I wonder when I'll even get married" I said to myself.
